“Langley country star uses celebrity status to attract donations for babies at a hockey game”

LANGLEY ADVANCE – Dallas Smith is burning up the country music charts, jetting off around the continent performing, and recently nominated for a Juno Award.

But the 39-year-old Willoughby musician is taking some time out soon to help provide for necessities – such a food and diapers – for the tiniest members of society – babies.

Smith is taking part in an event called Fill The Rink Night on Wednesday, March 1 – a fundraising event being held in conjunction with the Vancouver’s Giants game against the Portland Winterhawks.

The country music star will be in attendance for the ceremonial puck drop of the game, before hosting a meet-and-greet with fans.
